As we explore what is hot in the design world in 2017 there is only one word – metal. According to Nazima Bacchus of The Design Bar metal is the feature she is already incorporating into her design recommendations for 2017.
Nazima explains, “What I’m really keen on is incorporating more metals into (my) decor beyond faucets and door handles. Mixing metals becomes a design statement and I’ve been obsessed with it lately.”
If you are considering some redecorating, or upgrading, incorporating metal is a brilliant option as it will bring texture to an otherwise flat room. The good news is there are so many different options that there is sure to be something to match your taste. Nazima is visibly excited when she comments, “don’t be afraid of exploring your chromes, golds, brushed and black metals.” In the right setting, all of these metals will add beauty and function.
There is a metal for every budget and for every room. All you need to do is use your imagination and give yourself permission to create beautiful spaces. There is no shortage of places you can find metal, Nazima explains, “ you can find metal in furniture such as coffee table legs, couch hand rests, metal chandeliers and/or accessories.
